Nana Akufo-Addo has been declared Ghana’s president-elect by the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Charlotte Osei. Speaking at the press conference in Accra, Osei said,”It’s my duty to declare Nana Addo as President -elect of the Republic of Ghana”. Going by the results, John Mahama polled 44.40% of the votes while Nana Akufo-Addo overwhelmingly with 53.85%. The 2016 presidential election is Akufo-Addo’s third attempt to run for president of Ghana.
