Two teachers at a primary school in the Dutsen Tanshi area of Bauchi, the state capital – Sani Abubakar, 39; and Usman Hassan, 33 – have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 6-year-old pupil. Stating this on Thursday while giving a report of the command’s efforts at reducing crime in the state, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Garba Umar said the suspects were arrested on March 8, 2017, at about 9am for the alleged crime.
Umar said, “The suspects lured the six-year-old girl and defiled her at a primary school in Dutsen Tanshi. Unfortunately, the two suspects are the victim’s teachers in the same school.” The Police Commissioner added that detectives attached to the Burra division, on March 12, 2017, arrested a 20-year-old man in Burra town, in the Ningi Local Government Area of the state, for allegedly raping his four-year-old relative.
