On Friday, 29th September 2016, the Celestial Church of Christ(CCC), founded by Rev. Prophet Pastor SBJ Oschoffa, celebrated its 69th founding anniversary. As part of the celebration, the leadership of the church converged in Paris, France where a resolution was taken to harmonize the factions that have sprung up in Celestial Church of Christ over the years. It was at this meeting in France that an online petition was launched calling for unity of all Celestial Church of Christ churches worldwide.
Below is the statement signed by the Director of Communications{V/M/Ev Barthelemy Bitty} of the Celestial Church of Christ as regards the unification petition:
1. Since the death of Reverend Prophet Pastor SBJ OSCHOFFA, Father Founder of Celestial Church of Christ, also known as the Holy Church from heaven, for all kinds of divisions, this beautiful Christian work originated in Africa and by its actual charismatic strength and well-being that it provides to its members, conquered the world in less than a half-century.
On behalf of the God of peace that has proved to Pastor OSCHOFFA and who gave him this Church, we the followers living witnesses of his apostolate, can not continue to watch this masterpiece of faith, break up to die or be banned from activities in some countries because of the plurality of leaders, creating a de facto disorder that many States can not continue to tolerate. The consequences of such a ban are multiple and very damaging.
2. This legally constituted Church can not stay as long in this situation of lawlessness and constant violation of its own texts. The atmosphere is so dishonorable to our God, for the father Founder and for us faithfuls of this Church and as well for the supporters who come for spiritual and psychological assistance.
3. Papa OSCHOFFA, as we affectionately called him, with his own hand, did protect the constitutionality of the Celestial Church of Christ. With this petition, we want to draw the attention of all the leaders of this Church, and of all African and international courts on the consequences of their silence or their unfinished responsibility to obtain a seat for the reunification Church and recognition in one supreme leader accordance with the will of the Father and founder in accordance with the basic texts of the Church, called the blue Constitution. Christians and supporters.
