Following a report by Sahara Reporters alleging that former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives(HoR) Hon. Chibudom Nwuche reportedly received N1billion bribe for then speaker and now Sokoto State governor, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal to pad Amnesty Budget, Tambuwal’s spokesman Imam Imam has dismissed this allegation as untrue. According to Imam via his tweets, “The story, as it relates to Gov @AWTambuwal is false and without basis. Gov. Tambuwal has never engaged in legislative, political, administrative or biz relationship with persons alleged by @SaharaReporters.Nwuche left HoR in 2003, same year Tambuwal was elected to represent Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency in the House. Gov. Tambuwal was not in the House of Representatives when Nwuche was in the House. Both Nwuche and Kuku were close to Jonathan. They could not have had dealings with Tambuwal who was antagonist to them.”
